We collect the following personal data: - Email address (when you create an account) - Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see your full card or bank details) - Legal texts you submit for analysis (used only to generate your result, not stored) - Subscription status and plan (free or Pro)

3. Why we collect it

We process your data to: - Provide and improve the Law Summarizer service - Manage your account and subscription - Send essential service emails (e.g. account confirmation) - Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis

We process your personal data on the following legal bases: - Contract performance: processing necessary to deliver the service you signed up for - Legitimate interests: improving our service and preventing fraud - Legal obligation: where required by law

5. Third parties

We share data with the following processors only: - Supabase (auth and database) — stored in EU - Stripe (payment processing) — compliant with GDPR - Anthropic (AI analysis) — your text is sent to generate the response and is not retained by Anthropic beyond the request We do not sell your data.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Legal texts submitted for analysis are not stored after the response is generated. Payment records are retained as required by Dutch tax law (7 years).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: - Access your personal data - Correct inaccurate data - Request deletion of your data - Restrict or object to processing - Receive your data in a portable format - Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) To exercise any of these rights, contact us at deepboot.c@gmail.com.

8. Cookies

Law Summarizer uses only functional cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
